Endovenous Laser Ablation

Endovenous Laser Ablation is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment option for varicose veins. It is the preferred alternative to surgical stripping varicose veins. Unlike surgical stripping, this procedure permanently closes off the vein while leaving it intact.

During the treatment, we insert a thin laser fiber into the diseased vein, generally through a small puncture in the leg. We then deliver laser energy through the fiber, which seals the vein as the fiber withdraws.

Use of compression therapy for several days after the laser treatment will improve recovery.
